Israel is continuing to enforce the ceasefire with Lebanon that has been – as happened in 2006 after the Second Lebanon War – patently ignored by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization.

Early Saturday the IDF struck and eliminated terrorist Hassan Muhammad Hammoudi in the area of Kounine in southern Lebanon.

Hammoudi was responsible for Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile array in the Bint Jbeil sector; he directed numerous anti-tank missile attacks toward Israeli territory during the recently-ended war, code-named Operation Northern Arrows.

Also on Saturday, the IDF struck and eliminated the terrorist Abbas Al-Hassan Wahbi in the area of Mahrouna in southern Lebanon. Wahbi was responsible for intelligence in Hezbollah’s ‘Radwan Force’ Battalion.

The terrorist was involved in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah and weapons transfers, the IDF said.

On Friday, a civilian building was damaged in Nabatieh after an IDF strike aimed at a site used to manage Hezbollah’s fire and defense array in southern Lebanon.

“A review indicates that as a result of the strike, a rocket belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization that was stored at the site, was launched and hit the civilian building,” the IDF said following an investigation.

“The Hezbollah terrorist organization continues to endanger the residents of southern Lebanon by refusing to hand over its weapons to the state. The re-establishment of Hezbollah’s infrastructure and the presence of weapons held by the organization within Lebanese territory constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

“The Lebanese Armed Forces are expected to act to confiscate rockets and weaponry from Hezbollah,” the IDF emphasized.
