Residents in Jabaliya and Gaza City were warned by the IDF on Sunday to evacuate and head south to the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone for their own safety.

“Urgent Warning to all those present in the Gaza City and Jabalia areas and in the neighborhoods of Zeitoun Sharqi , the Old City , Turkman, Ajdeida , Al-Tuffah , Al -Daraj , Al- Sabra, Jabalia Al-Balad , Jabalia Al-Nazla , Jabalia Camp , Al-Rawda, Al-Nahda, Al-Zahour, Al-Nour, Al- Salam and Tel Al-Zaatar for your safety, evacuate immediately south to the Al-Mawasi area,” the alert read.

“The IDF is operating with extreme force in these areas and these military operations will escalate, intensify and extend west to the city center to destroy the capabilities of the terrorist organizations. Hamas is harming you and bringing you disaster. Returning to dangerous combat zones is a danger to your lives!” the alert said.

This is the second time in as many days that residents were urged to leave northern Gaza and move south to safety, where there are multiple food distribution points managed by the US-run Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Israel is moving towards a renewed military escalation in Gaza to root out and dismantle renewed Hamas and other terrorist infrastructure, particularly in the northern area of the enclave.

Simultaneously both Israel and the US are working to block a United Nations-led political effort to shut down the successful GHF-run food distribution program that has managed to bypass the Hamas terrorist looting system.

Hamas terrorists continue to seize and loot humanitarian aid trucks carrying supplies from UN-run distribution operations.

Israeli forces are reporting they have been forced to secure such aid convoys rather than focus their efforts on fighting terrorist infrastructure.

Israel’s Security Cabinet is set to convene Sunday evening at the IDF Southern Command Headquarters to discuss the humanitarian aid issue, the ongoing military operation in Gaza, and updates on negotiations for a hostage release deal.

The meeting comes in the wake of an ultimatum by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who threatened to pull his party from the coalition and bring down the government if Israel does not block Hamas from stealing humanitarian aid in Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz subsequently instructed the IDF last week to present a plan “within 48 hours” that would prevent Hamas from seizing the aid trucks.
