Israel’s anti-missile aerial defense array intercepted a hypersonic ballistic missile attack aimed at central Israel by Houthi terrorists in Yemen on Monday night, barely an hour after the end of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.
Millions of Israelis were sent racing to bomb shelters and other safe spaces across central Israel, from Netanya to Tel Aviv, south to Rehovot, across central Israel to Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, western Gush Etzion, Kiryat Arba and as far south as Tel Arad.
The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service reported that no calls for assistance were received at the 101 dispatch center.
Since March 18, when the IDF resumed its offensive against the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza, the Iranian proxy in Yemen has launched 44 missile attacks and more than 10 suicide drone attacks against Israel.
