Iran’s proxy in Yemen, the Houthis, are continuing their campaign to attack civilians in Israel.
A UAV launched “most likely from Yemen” was intercepted Wednesday afternoon by the Israeli Air Force.
Since the drone did not reach Israeli territory, no Red Alert sirens were activated in response to the attack.
“Yemen is still at war with the temporary Zionist entity, and the embargo on Ben Gurion Airport and Haifa Port remains in place,” a spokesperson for the Houthis said Wednesday. “It will not be lifted until the aggression stops and the siege on our people in Gaza is lifted.”
The IAF also intercepted two suicide drones launched “most likely from Iran” on Tuesday night in violation of the ceasefire agreement that began at 7 am the same day.
IDF officials said the UAVs were probably launched in the morning hours, around the same time as a surface-to-surface ballistic missile was fired at Israel from Iran.
President Donald Trump urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz not to respond to the provocations.
